B.M., M.M. Piano Performance
Abby was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and surprised her parents at the age of five by playing every Christmas song ever known on a plastic toy organ. She enrolled in lessons with Julliard graduate Judith Petersen and won local and state competitions. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance, and a Master degree with High Distinction with the renowned Toradze Piano Studio at Indiana University in South Bend. She taught piano as adjunct faculty while studying under concert pianists Ketevan Badridze and Alexander Toradze.
After relocating to Nashville, TN she joined the piano faculty at Belmont University School of Music. In addition to teaching, she began studying songwriting and learned music recording and production techniques. She also earned 30 additional credit hours to add to her Master Degree, becoming certified to teach General Music K-12, with an emphasis on Kodály music education (certified levels I and II). Currently she creates unique and fun music education resources for kids, and records music for television and film!
